ReplyDeleteMatthew lord farris hired our company to perform and inspection on a 1.7 million dollar home 4418 Cromwell los angeles.
ReplyDeleteWe sent our home inspector and a sewer line technician to provide services.
The inspection was 7 hours long and 2 days work on a 50 page report on property. Total owed to date with late charges is $1,200 dollars and $299 for sewer technician.
After countless excuses weeks have past by and he has made 5 payments that he has cancelled every time.
We are now taking this matter to court and in the process we have found out by his agent Ernest that he made counterfeit bank statements with fake money! And that they backed out since Matthew Lord Farris had no means to pay! Not only that but we have found out he has done this to countless other agents in the past. This kid is 23 years old going around acting like his got a financial back bone and stiffing companies with wasted time, labor, etc.... who ever decides to work with this person should know his lack of self respect, integrity and by no means deserves any work.

Last year, Mr. Farris made an all cash offer on a house I had for sale in the same area as 4418 Cromwell/Los Angeles. Within 48 hours, he cancelled the purchase for dubious reasons. Today, he saw another property I have for sale in the area, and made an all cash offer. With a new agent. After reading your post, I am wondering why Mr. Farris has new representation: because of his choice, or because other agents caught on to him?
DeleteMr. Farris is ripping off companies in the Boston area now 2015/2016. He signed a contract for us to perform a home inspection for him and wrote a check from a closed bank account. He also bounced checks on at least two realtors in the area.

I had the unfortunate experience running into this character at a property I am representing.If you come across this person...Run don't walk away! He forged bank statements as proof of funds, bounced checks and even went as far as signing a P&S with no intention or means to purchase the property. He is a pathological liar. I have since learned he has done this previously in Boston and Los Angles.

ReplyDeleteMr Farris is continuing his real estate game in RI. now. I work for a Rhode Island brokerage and was on the other end of a transaction with the now infamous con. Same story as these other posts.. cash deal, waived all inspections (thankfully) but never delivered deposit after an elaborate 3 week story-telling spree with his agent. I represented a Seller who made significant life changes because of this offer. I had to be the one to call her in the Bahamas as she was there with her partner putting down a deposit on her much anticipated new home. While no one seems to be able to figure out why Mr.F spends so much of his time on this con, I am going to simply say that he is fulfilling a need to feel important and maintain a sense of wealth, power and control in his life. Karma is a bitch folks... just wait and see. Hopefully good things have transpired to all those who briefly fell for this Cheerleader.
ReplyDeleteThe cheerleader has made his way back to the San Diego area. He charmed his way into the good graces of my friends. I, myself, have never met him. But his ridiculous, over the top promises he would make to these two lady friends of mine were just too much to listen to any longer. That's when I googled his name and found your posts. Thank you for putting your unfortunate run ins with this guy on his page. He was able to manipulate quite a bit of money from them (with promises of paying them back). But I'm happy to say he no longer lives with them and has made his way back to the Los Angeles area. So thank you all!

Submitted an all cash offer, signed documents and everything and then stalled saying he had phone troubles and work meetings that were conflicting in him writing the earnest money check. Thankfully, finding this post kept me from wasting too much of the sellers' time.
ReplyDeleteThis thief is now in the area of Charlotte NC and York County SC. Just found out Matthew Lord Farris the buyer of 86655 Arrington Road is a scammer. He has ripped of realtors and home inspectors off all over the country of their time and services, Los Angeles, Boston, Houston. He stuck us for $555 he sent over 30 text and email, so much time texting and email about making the payment you just got to wonder what is going on in his warped mind. The sick boy even sent me a text of him holding cash from a bathroom in a mirror that he said was the payment.
